Reflections on the Johannesburg Bible College conference

Towards the end of January, faculty member Rev Phumezo Masango was privileged to be invited to speak at the annual Johannesburg Bible College Conference. The Conference, held at JBC’s Soweto and Auckland Park campuses, was targeted towards the leaders who are training others in different parts of the African continent. Many of the attendees were JBC alumni whom God is using in church planting and the starting of Bible Colleges in places like Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Uganda and KZN, among others.

Phumezo says, “For me it was a wonderful time to catch up with my dear friends at JBC, and others around Johannesburg. It was also at time to get a glimpse of what God is doing throughout our country and the rest of the continent. I was refreshed and equipped as I listened to other speakers talking on such topics as Balance and Burnout; Teaching in non-literature settings; Women’s ministry; Encouraging and caring for students, and other relevant ministry topics. Morning devotions spurred us on to follow our Jesus. Thanks be to God for the warmth, generosity and the hard work of the JBC team who organised the Conference.”
