What we believe

At GWC we believe that God has revealed himself and his plan for the human race through the prophetic writings of the Bible’s Old and New Testaments, and ultimately by becoming a man in the person of Jesus Christ.

At the heart of this plan is God’s establishment of Jesus Christ as Lord and King of his Universe through his sin-bearing death and death-defeating resurrection. Jesus commanded that this be communicated to people of all nations that they might believe and be saved, before his coming again to rule visibly, gloriously and for ever.

Salvation is by Christ’s grace alone, and is received by faith alone. Believers become members of Christ (“in Christ”) and this determines their fundamental corporate identity, transcending all differences of nationality, race, gender and class. As Christians, we are one body in Christ and individually children of God and brothers and sisters to each other.
