Explore Correspondence Course Takes Root and Grows in Uganda

The Explore team trained 40 facilitators in Uganda in November 2017 who formed the core of the approximately 250 delegates who attended a training conference in February 2018. Clergy, pastors and lay leaders were introduced to Biblical Theology and then lead through two units of Explore the Bible.  As a result of the training presented by Ross Anderson and Roydon Frost, 200 new Ugandan students enrolled to study the Explore correspondence course.

While in Uganda, Nevil visited the central Buganda region, meeting with 50 Explore students and experiencing their great appreciation for the Explore course.  Nevil also met with the Bishop of Central Buganda Diocese and the principal of the Anglican Buwere Divinity College, and discussed the possibility of five Explore modules being incorporated into their certificate programme.  Once this has met with approval by the Anglican Church of Uganda, it will entail a delegate from the College coming to GWC for training.  Nevil preached in St John’s Cathedral, Kasaka Gomba, on Sunday 18 February.  He says, “Praise the Lord. The gospel is marching through the continent of Africa.”
