Our Core Beliefs

We believe that God has revealed himself and his plan for the human race through the prophetic writings of the Old and New Testaments and ultimately by becoming a man in the person of Jesus Christ. At the heart of this plan is God’s establishment of Jesus Christ as Lord and King of his Universe through his sin-bearing death and death-defeating resurrection. Jesus commanded that this be communicated to people of all nations that they might believe and be saved before his coming again to rule visibly, gloriously and forever. Salvation is by Christ’s grace alone, and is received by faith alone.

Believers become members of Christ (“in Christ”) and this determines their fundamental corporate identity, transcending all differences of nationality, race, gender and class. As Christians we are one body in Christ, members of his Church and individually children of God and brothers and sisters to each other.

As an evangelical Anglican college we are in essential agreement with the three great creeds, the Thirty Nine Articles of Religion, the Lausanne Covenant and the GAFCON Declaration. We accept the Book of Common Prayer of 1662 and the Ordinal as our standard of worship and church order.
